Securing Things on the Internet
|pipe| adds security to all manner of IoT devices. However, the unique benefits of security, privacy and low latency make it especially useful for live video streaming devices : IP cameras, webcams, baby monitors, drones, door access systems, etc.
Are YOU building a connected device with streaming video / audio?
Licensing |pipe|
By licensing the |pipe| SDK/API, you can focus more
of your valuable time and attention on product feature innovation.

Also, you will save $$$/€€€ using |pipe| instead of routing audio
and video through an intermediary cloud media server
and incurring bandwidth, security and administration expenses.

Want to hear how you can integrate |pipe| alongside cloud-based
device services like software updates and video
                recording?

Benefits of using |pipe| in the Miku Smart Baby Monitor

The secure |pipe| data transport layer carries real-time audio & video from the Miku
Smart Baby Monitor directly to the
family’s authenticated smart devices in addition to data from baby’s breathing patterns and nursery
                    temperature,
                    humidity, sound, and ambient light.

Variable frame rate management: at each new connection to the camera the streaming video quality adjusts steadily upwards to find the optimum (best) level for the available bandwidth
IP network independence: once paired to an authorised smartphone, a secure |pipe| connection is re-established with the device irrespective of any change of IP network (e.g. having moved in the meantime from WiFi to 4G/5G)
Complementary with cloud-based services: in parallel to using the secure |pipe| transport layer for direct audio, video and data transport, devices like the Miku can also connect to the cloud for certain functions, like software updates and sharing video recordings
